Setup

The whole thing happens in your OpenClaw dashboard, in the console chat. You’re just talking to your agent and it does the work. 1. Open your OpenClaw dashboard and start a chat
If you don’t have access to the dashboard, and only use Telegram, you may try setting it up. But you will most likely run into permissions issue, in which case you will need to use the dashboard.

  1. It will ask for some permissions to add it. Approve it

  1. It should then have started the log in process. Wait for it to give you a URL

  1. Open the link, log into Stardex, approve access
The page will then try to redirect and fail to load. That’s normal, nothing went wrong. Look at the URL in your address bar and copy the long code= value out of it. 5. Paste that code back into the chat Your agent uses it to finish the connection. Setup — screenshot 4 6. Ask it to restart the gateway This is what makes the new connection go live. 7. Test it Ask something like “what are the 5 most recent jobs in Stardex.” If you get real data back, you’re done.

Using it

Just ask normally. Some things that work well:
  • Find candidates matching a profile
  • Pull a list of candidates in a specific pipeline stage on a specific job
  • Look up someone’s contact info or recent emails
  • Add notes to a candidate record
  • Count or filter your database (“how many people have Python experience”)
It’s read and write, so it can update records, not just look things up.

Q&A

Can I set this up through Telegram instead of the dashboard? Not really. Telegram blocks the setup commands by default for security reasons, so you’ll just hit permission walls. Use the dashboard for setup. After it’s connected, Telegram works fine for actually asking questions. My agent says it doesn’t have any Stardex tools available. Usually means the gateway hasn’t been restarted since the connection was added. Ask it to restart and try again. Do I need to log in again later? No. The authorization is saved and stays valid. You’d only redo it if the token gets revoked or you disconnect on purpose. The redirect page is broken. Did it fail? No, that’s expected every time. The code you need is in the URL bar even though the page won’t load. Does this let the agent see anything else in my account? It only reads what you ask it about in that conversation. It’s not pulling your data in the background. Can I limit what it’s allowed to do? Yes. You can restrict it to specific tools if you want it read only, for example. Ask your agent about tool filters, or reach out to us and we’ll help you scope it.
